$20 million campaign seeks to spotlight Alabama city’s role in historic Scottsboro Boys case

A Decatur non-profit has launched a $20 million campaign to put a spotlight on the city’s role in the historic Scottsboro Boys trials. Celebrating Early Old Town with Art, or CEOTA is the group behind the Northern Gateway to Alabama’s Civil Rights Trail project that seeks to connect sites in the city to historic sites on Alabama’s Civil Rights Trail in Tuskegee, Montgomery, Selma, Birmingham and other parts of the state.
